• Provide variety of major and minor surgical procedures such as different hernia repairs, Resection of colonic masses, Endocrine, Hepatobiliary and Urologic procedures as an elective. As the hospital was located in a rural setup and resource was low we managed most of our patients with the amount of resources that were available on our hands. In the emergency setup, the position included evaluation of a patient and deciding on the appropriate initial measures, selection of subsequent intra operative management and post operative followup of the patient. In the elective aspect patient is initially evaluated thoroughly and investigated. Co morbidities are identified and managed. Then subsequent management plan is plotted and materials prepared for the procedure. Then the patient is operated and followed postoperatively until the expected level of wellbeing is attained.

• The position included establishment and strengthening of the surgical department. After establishment of the department ground works for marketing and patient inflow strategies were aligned and implemented. Once patient inflow had increased all the above measures were done for our patients. In this company I was also involved in community outreach programs in educating and screening common surgical diseases.
