• Key Qualifications: Mr. BUCYANA is senior education Curriculum specialist with over 16 years of experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating education projects in Rwanda with extent background in curriculum design and development. He has cultivated strong relationships with the Rwandan Ministry of Education and other education stakeholders in Rwanda through close collaboration on the adaptation and development of improved formal and non-formal education curricula and programs. He has built the capacities of the Ministry of Education, local government, Parent Teacher Associations, school management and child labor committees to increase the quality and accessibility of education for vulnerable children. He has also conducted Asset Based community appraisal or Community Asset Appraisal for faith based organization, Civil Society organization, and local leaders at national levels. Managed development and implementation of education activities in the Nyabiheke Refugee Camp for ECCDs or pre-primary, primary and secondary through UNICEF funding. Ensured that Save the Children programs incorporate protection of children’s rights and outreach to and inclusion of the most vulnerable and marginalized children, primarily children prevented or withdrawn from hazardous child labor. Coordinated closely with UNHCR Rwanda, UNICEF Rwanda, American Refugee Committee, MINALOC, MINEDUC, and FAWE Rwanda.
