• Currently, I am an Academician, Researcher and Project Manager at the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health Nursing, School of Nursing, College of Medicine and Health Sciences and Specialized Hospital, University of Gondar, Gondar, Northwest Ethiopia. As my full time work, I have been engaged in teaching nursing, midwifery, public health, and ophthalmic nurse students at undergraduate and postgraduate level there supervised more than 10 masters thesis. As a researcher and project manager, I have been engaged in implementation research, public health interventions, nursing research, qualitative research, NCDs prevention and control research; and also, won more than 6 research grants funded by the University of Oxford (Global Research Nurses), Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research/WHO, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), International Institute for Primary Health Care in Ethiopia (IPHC-E), and University of Gondar

• I used to lead Lemmi Health Center located in South Wollo Zone, Amhara Regional State, Northeast Ethiopia. In this place, I was leading the health center and administering 39 staff members. Moreover, I used to work as a coordinator of health extension program (Ethiopia's innovative primary health care approach highly recognized by the World Health Organization) which is primarily focused on disease prevention and control activities in the rural communities. Furthermore, I was working as a clinician where I did assessment and treatment of patients visiting the health center. Vaccination and health education campaigns were also the our activities there.
