• I conceptualised, designed and implemented new courses and programmes for executive managers for the Sol Plaatje Institute (SPI) for Media Leadership -- Africa's first and leading media management institution; I led the teaching of modules on the postgraduate course for fulltime students and on the executive programmes for top media managers and leaders from across Africa; during my tenure, more than 700 postgraduates in media management and journalism were graduated and more than 6,000 African media managers in the SPI's accredited short-term programmes; I led the SPI's research and its strategies for sustainability (the SPI is not funded by Rhodes or the government); I led the SPI's strategies on branding, communications, marketing and stakeholder management; and I hired, onboarded, mentored and supervised all academic and support staff.
