• The project i have worked on was THE SURVEYING AND PROPERTY VALUATION OF THE PROPOSED BUFFER ZONE of Akagera National Park, The surveying part in the project was mainly composed by office work and filed work. The office work dealing with design using ArcGIS and AutoCAD of the proposed buffer zone, the following task was to establish coordinates of points to be marked on the ground. After these tasks, the final one was map production or visualisation of the design and loading the coordinates data in the GPS receiver. The field work was the groundproof of what was done in the office, notice that it was mainly concerned by staking out of the points coordinates. Staking out was done by using high accurate GNSS Receiver commonly known as DGPS for showing on the ground the boundary of the buffer zone and establish marks where these points were located. Surveying also helped the Valuation process by providing accurate spatial data of land parcels to be taken within the buffer zone, these data were parcels area overlaid with the proposed buffer zone in order to obtain the area taken by the buffer zone
